Life's a Fiesta!

This couldn't be more true for us Boholanos. Fiestas happen all year round in just about every barangay, town, and city across the Philippine archipelago. But in Bohol, May is the famed "Fiesta Season," as all throughout the month, somewhere on the island is celebrating a fiesta.

As a kick-starter, the Provincial Capital,Tagbilaran City, celebrates its Fiesta on May 1st, in honor of its patron saint, St. Joseph the Worker. Spearheaded by the City Government, this fiesta has been turned into a much-anticipated Festival in the city, dubbed as "SAULOG, TAGBILARAN."

Saulog Tagbilaran now runs on its 4th Year, and was officially opened last March 16, 2017, which signaled more than a month's-long festivities as a precursor to the Pontifical Mass and Grand Street Dancing Competition paying homage to St. Joseph. These activities are a sure-fire way of revitalizing the touristic value of Tagbilaran City as a cultural destination in Bohol, as it showcases the vigor, gratitude and faith of Tagbilaranons.
